该不该ask for high salary?

刚接到一个contract to hire 的offer.定了hourly salary.比我ask的还多$2/per hour.我猜是因为有个third party agent involved and the agent 帮我争来的。这个agent 又打电话来问我对permanent salary 的request 是多少，我就告诉了他一个数字，他又给我加了5000.多拿工资我当然没意见，可是这会不会影响到我转permanent的机会呢？

我能理解why the agent fighted for my hourly wage? why he also cares about the permanant salary? would that be possible that those agents also get some benefit from my permanent salary? 我不想被这个agent 当枪使.

我在interview 的时候和我的future manager聊起过这个agent,他说this agent wants to be involved in the whole process and he (the manager) is happy with the agent because he （the agent) brought me to them.他这么一说，我就不能再说什么了。

我该怎样处理这个问题：我就想让这个manager 理解， I am really appreciate this chance to work for this company and I am willing to take a lower salary if the salary becomes an issue for them. 我能直接和这个manager 谈吗？当然，如果salary is not an issue, of course I like the higher salary better. 这好像很subtle,我怕我处理不好，恳请大家给出出点子。谢谢！
