I have a classmate who left family in USA,and started a startup back in China. It has been 4 years almost, and each year comes back 3 or 4 times.

I can not live a life like that. What is the point? Is it really worth the sacrifice of family life in order to achieve something that may or may not be that splendid or simply illusive?

Why almost sacrifice one in order to get the other? Why can't one try to get both?
