what a day

first day after lay-off.The first thing I did when got to office was to apologize to my superviser about my attitude yesterday. then meet with his boss. somehow I always manage to blow my chances with this big boss. he was quite nervous talking with me and somewaht defensive to try to explain how much he had done and simply can't save everyone. Then he brought up the new position. I guess I should ahve said sth about how great he was to actually obtain a head count under the circumstances. but it certainly did not come to me. then he mentioned my own program saying he did not think it is dead, that some corporate level activities regarding that aspect are still going on. I did not respond either. then our conversation became somewhat cold. I said thank you for the opportunity to do what I did in the past several years and then i left. Obviously he did not get what he wanted from me and i probably blow my last chance here. well it is what it is.
