Teh kick-off meetings are always nonsense

But quite simple to deal with. teh key thing is for people to get to know each other and team members. It does not sound like you will be the host of the meeting so let them handle teh agenda and go with teh flow. Be prepared i.e. slides for some introduction of your team what you can do and time line and milestones. etc. May need to organize mroe meetings to update them etc. All nonesense. But they love it since there may be nothing else for them to do.
