-- As a Sr. guy, you should be very confident for what you are doing;
-- You should be ready on all aspects of DBA duties, like Installation and setup, monitoring and support, backup and recover, performance tuning, etc. Depends on the company, you may also need to know Application design, trouble shooting. Anyway, you know how to make yourself ready in technical side.
-- Go to there with perfect attitude and nice smile and excellent communication skills;
-- MOST IMPORTANT: PREPARE SEVERAL REAL STORY TO TALK DURING THE INTERVIEW:
Tell them what kind of problem you were facing and how do you fixed it.
Specially, be sure to tell them when the production DB system was down (for all sorts of different reasons), how did you do troubleshoot and fixed it in very short time. You not only did this kind of 起死回生 once, but you did many many times!
Be sure to tell them: When you production DB system is down next time, give me a call, I only need the Oracle password, nothing else, then I gurentee I will fix the problem and bring your production system back to business!
-- As a Sr. DBA, there are plenty of jobs in there now, you do not have to 回国找工作.
