basically, whiteboard coding is a waste of interview time

Coding on a whiteboard or on a piece of paper is one of the stupidest things I’ve ever heard/met.

we got to admit that many people can’t write code on a whiteboard. It did take me long time to get myself used to this stupid programming approach, just for interview.
I don't think my ability got approved at all by the paper-coding practice. :)

whiteboard coding is a waste of interview time. The only exception I think is that if whiteboard coding is done very quickly, and used as a LEAD-IN to a BROADER conversation.
