I started my career with COBOL more than 10 years ago. I changed languages shortly after I started with COBOL, but I know many hug transaction systems are still using it, for example, banks, big government agency(franchise Tax Board). It is very hard for them to find a right person. If I just stayed with COBOL from beginning, I would still have a job, and I am sure I will have that job for my life time.

Can you say COBOL is 化石语言?
