Robert Half is the biggest recruiter in finance/accounting field. You should try everything you can think of, including working with recruiters, apply to ads online, networking.

Accounting opportunities are always plenty, because most business entities need some. It's just the timing is not the best because of the current economy. Don't get discouraged if you don't get responses right away.

BTW, do you have accounting degree/CPA/experience?
