it should be okay if your family member's name is not in black list. They will have you fill a form and declare your parents,parents in law,grandfathers.Depends on the level of security clearance, normally they want to see your histories in the last ten years(for the highest level). the lowest level is around five years declaration. If you get the highest level,you would find your name is listed in border office's computer while you leave the country.
