In Us we call it W2 or 1099. If you do it as you own business, he just give you a check without any deduction, but if he gives you W2 everything is deducted (social security, medicare, UI etc...). Each has the benefit and drawbacks, mostly the hourly rate is $5 higher in 1099 or you won't do the 1099!!
