老板找人backup我， 看看我老板的email。如何让老板明确我们的分工

本来我一个人负责亚洲区域的项目。
老板又在我旁边安排一个人，职位比我低一级， 但是她和我一样，向我老板汇报。

我和老板开会的时候， 问他以后新人的roles and responsibility。
我老板说他认为我一个人负责亚洲的项目，risk too high, if some day i win the lottery....
我老板要新人成为 junior 的我。要我involve 新人在我所有的会议里。

新人是从另外的部门调来的。在我之前就给我老板工作，是老油条， 很难控制。

所以我很愁，老板明显是要人来监视我。我要如何和老板说清我和新人的分工呢？？
