congratulation on moving the project forward! managers like to make decision by themselves. If you push too hard, and it seems you are making the decisions for them, and it won't fly.

Same experience for me. The more I want to get something done, the low guesture I show during the meeting. For my last approved proposal, our director almost "bet" me to put into system. And he approved it within an hour. He also wrote emails to CEOs and get the project approved. However, as I said b4, no money will be avaiable this year. I am actually happy this way because I get more time to fine tune the technology.
