I had the same situation as yours. We relocated last year, and company paid relocation and everything. But my w-2 showed that I had extra income and I have to pay tax for it.
My package did not mention any tax issue, so I was very happy becaue I did not have to care about any moving detail. This happiness lasted until I got w-2 this January.
