so scared!

Today is my first day going to work. LG is in Canada, I am in USA. It rained and snowed since last night, I am a new driver, so I have to drive on the local road. The car turned around when I stops or starts it, I was so scared. LG told me that highway is slippery also, it should be safe for me to drive on the local, so worried how I can go to work tomorrow. Give me any advice on this situation, please!
