1) the little SAS book

2) SAS Certification Prep Guide-- Basic Programming for SAS9.

they are easy books, I think one week is enough. After read them, you will know how to control data with SAS. And you must know 'retain statement', 'array statement'. If you want, give me your e-mail, I'll send you a ppt for SAS/SQL. After all this, you must be more confident.
