回复:Oya, I saw it
What you said is my concern too. But with or without the title, I will have to do the director's job anyway. My VP is giving me an opportunity to develop my leadership skills. The AVP is weaker in my field, but good in leadership skills and politics etc. She coaches me sometimes. She used to be a lawyer.
One complaint I had is I'm short of staff. VP approved me to hire another two so that I can be freed from actually doing some of the work to managing the work.
Utility company is generally not sexy, but the work they offered in the new position is fancy, thus, very challenging and risky. I will have to lead a high-profile big project. If I succeeded, I would become a rising star, if not, it will be a dead-end for me in that company.
