frustrated with the demanding boss!!!

I just worked so hard (From Aug. to Oct.) to finish the 2009 budget for a big organization. It is my first experience to involve with the budget and I think that I did a very good job!

Yesterday lunch time, my director have a meeting with me, she did not say any appreciation words at all, not only that, she mentioned that she think that I have a potential to do more work and I should show my initiative to do more. She thinks that my workload is light (In fact, I already do two person’s job). She also gave me another example of the senior co-worker, who came back to the office to work in the weekend secretly to finish the extra work, etc. I was so disappointed and angry about what she said and got my stomach ache the whole afternoon.

I don’t understand after so mush hard working, I only made an impression with the director that I can do more work.

I really want you guys can share with me your two cents about how to deal with the demanding boss? How to deal with her in a professional and smart way? I was so frustrated and I don’t want to ruin my weekend…. Pls help!!!
