How many years it takes to get PhD depends how hard you work and how lucky you are. There is no pre-set time for PhD although most schools issue I20 by 3 years period. I've seen Chinese student got PhD in 1.5 year. I also know some1 who spent 10 years in same program before they got it.

Your concept about PhD is still Chinese way. Over there,
what class you should take has been predetermined. Here, nobody cares what is the order you should take class. Also, the boss has the final say when you can graduate.
