"I recently had an interview with a very big financial company. I met three people and the manager was especially happy with my experience. HR called me with the offer in a week and even went into details such as salary and benefit.

But when I asked her about their policy on employment sponsorship, she seemed surprised and asked me my current visa type."

-- Somebody call you say she will pay a big $$ to buy you car which you put on the AD.
-- You told her that you forget to tell on the AD that that car is nice but need do Title registration before driving.
-- Will she come buy it if she no nothing about the Title registration?

OK, The process of looking a job is a pure business.
If they do offer you a job, what you need to do is get the offer first, then ask questions (or tell them the solution of the question later.
(just like: get the money first, then apply the Title for the car by yourself, and deliver the car to that buyer)

If they don't think it is a problem, you should never tell then it will be a problem unles you don't want the offer.

gracias!
