If you want to find a SAS programmer position, you better to have an exeperience in using SAS software.
(If you have computer degree will be better)

If you do not have any experience before, from now on, you need to prepare for that 1) start to learn SAS software by yourself or through traing class (more efficient sometime than by yourself) 2) whenever you perform statistic analysis on your bilogical data or any other data, try to use SAS software. 3) get certificate for SAS base and Advanced Programmer certified by SAS institute. Google SAS certificate programm, you will find all information there.
You need to learn SAS/base, SAS/stat, SAS/Macro SAS/Graph etc. When you can answer all SAS skill questions in your interview, you will be able to get an offer. It took me almost one year to get this outcome
