Job offered but troubled with visa, suggestions?

Good news: An government organisation would like to offer me a position

Bad news: The position is permanent full time and they prefer PR or citizen. I am holding international student visa and will expire in six months time. I told them in three months I will apply PR. The headhunter said the company is checking with visa specialist.

Anybody can give suggestions?
