blowmeup has some good points. Many experienced people have the similay situations. It seems to me that the only thing you most likely to gain is UMTS/GSm interration work. Palm has NO real technology strength, it does purely integration. You will be so frustrated that you are dealing with tedious issues every day you open you eyes. I have friends worked there for several years, his technical domain knowledge has legged behind so much, that no companies such as Qualcom or Broadcom have interests on him. By the way, he is damn smart.

If you really think about career advancement, get prepared from non-technical angle, and look for opportunities differently.

I almost sure that you will be disappointed there.
