The email indicates that interviewer likes you. However, it is not a sure thing they would hire you unless he is the big boss. For example, when my team was hiring, our whole team (VP, managers and senior staff) would interview candidates and it needed a concensus before the boss made the decision. We had the situation that some team members liked the candidates and the others didn't and therefore the person would not be hired. The ideal situation would be every interviewer likes the candidate. The most common situation is that the big boss likes the candidate and the others either like it too or neutral, but no negative feedback.
