Here is my experience

I understand your situation. I have been there.

I work in a similar field like yours. The only reasons that I left my previous jobs because I don't feel I could learn anything new any more and the job became boring and a routine. Most of the time after you have been the job for 3 months you will know if the job is really want you expect. However as long as I was in the position I still tried to do a good job until I found the new job.

I was really lucky that I found a new job that let me define what I want to do besides accomplishing what my boss wants me to do.
