Clinical scientists are those who work on study protocols, IBs, ICF, who need to deal with lots of internal and external people. Usually, it requires some traveling, although I think it is less then 20%. In my old job, I traveled more than 50% of my time (not because you have to, but, that is the time you learn new things –FDA meeting, experts meetings, meetings the opinion leaders, DIA, etc). Now, my travel is limited, not because I do not have to, but I can certainly ask my team member to do that. :)

Again, in the beginning, No pain, No gain.
