Clinical operation/research and regulatory afair are two very different areas. You either can try large CROs, such as PRA, Paragon, Quintile, or some large pharmaceutical companies, they have internal clinical operation. It does demand excellent communication skills.

Regulatory affair includes both regulatory and CMC. If you have been in a pharma lab doing some development /QC work, you can try CMC / technical writer.
