I guess it would be better for him to move back to DEF.(btw, what is the difference between Design for test and Design? or even back to layout? or design? Is it possible? I remember he mentioned he worked on the testing for design before. He said that is much easier work.

I think workload gets heavier along the flow chart, because people in the end have to find and correct the errors people in the front have made.

The only question left is to how to move to the front then. Sigh.
