is he working in the operation dept?

that is working on product and test? that requires a lot of travel and deal w/ oversea vendors and test houses. Or maybe design, but then again design may require a better degree than BSEE, w/ almost no travel. If he is indeed working in the operation dept as a product engineer, that position is pretty bad w/ schedules.
