your medical bill should be covered by your friends PIP(in no-fault state), or his/her MPC (medical payment coverage) if he/she purchased that. if you think you suffered a lot, you can go to his/her liabily for your pain and suffering, but his liability only pay your pain and suffering, not medical bill.
