From the fact that your car was hit and turned around, I guess your car almost finished the left turn before the other car hit you. If this were true, I guess you may have entered the road before the other car, which means you had the right of road while the other car didn't. It this is the case, I would suggest an appeal on court. Good luck, and be careful!
