-If you indicated in the I-130 that your parents will apply for the immigrant visa in China, then your parents need to file DS 260 within one year from the date NVC inform you to provide the required documents and pay the fee. Otherwise, your I-130 will be termiated and then, you have another one year to request reinstatement of the I-130. If you do not request NVC reinstate your I-130 within one year from the date of your I-130 termination, then NVC will ask USCIS to revoke your I-130.
If you indicate in the I-130 that your parents will file I-485 within US, not apply for the immigrant visa in China. Then, USCIS will not forward your approved I-130 to NVC. Thus, your I-130 will be valid permanently.
