in Form N-400 (Application for Naturalization ), there is a question (Part 9 ) # 15.b:
Have you EVER been arrested, cited, detained or confined by any law enforcement officer, military official ( in the US or elsewhere ), or immigration official for any reason , or been charged by with a crime or offense?
My car was photoed when I was driving over speed limit sometime in Mar' 2024 ( Speed limit 35, I was driving at 42 ). I was not stopped by or cited by a police at that time. Later, I received a letter in mail to inform me about this speeding incident and asked me to pay a traffice fine $100. I paid it online.
My question: Should I report this speeding case in Form N-400? I'm not sure about whether to include this on N-400 because I was not cited by any law enforcement officer.
-It is still considered a citation. So, just report it in N-400 and indicate "Paid the fine" as the result. No big deal.
I'm assuming Law Enforcement Officer means police. I didn't get a traffice ticket when I was driving . I only received a letter later in mail and realized I was speeding.
