They represent different interest groups, different consitituien

demonstrate what they are capable of so to get support in the future. It is just a political  gave and take and they will come to a common ground very soon. 

I agree with Laokanke. Default will not come. Nobody can afford to take the blame for a financial disaster of that magnitude.
