interesting question

hmm, that is an interesting question. I never thought of things that way. Whether the white people inviting me or not inviting me does not make me happy or unhappy at all. It is more of a sense of belonging that matters, I guess, at least for me that is true.

For me, a network of friends is more important, whether in China or in the US. And I have to say that I do have friends who are white, and I do get invited by them.

Whether people are white or not, if you and they don't have a shared common interest, either hobby or cultural related, espicially if they feel there is a culture gap which they don't know how to make you happy or they feel uncomfortable interacting with you, why would they want to invite you to their parties?

For me, I only invite people who I feel comfortable for parties, as that is the time I want to relax with them, not to feel burdened by them.

Anyway, just one facet of life living in any place. People think differently and like different things.
If that is important to you, go live in Hawaii, where the whites are a minority.

So long, my friend. Much more time I spent here than I expected. Will come back next time around.
