Another thought

I have been thought about going back to China every now and then for some years and I have read arguments for both sides in the forum. Just recently another reason for going back came to me so strong that I think I have to get some opinion from anyone on this forum. It is about race.

The racial discrimination has been discussed many many times here. To me, I think we will have to earn respect from other people instead of just shouting that we need to be treated equally. So I never really gave it too much thoughts until I was struck by a book about "undergrand racial brotherhood", similar to KKK, even worse. These people, normally in teh southern counties, retain high positions in all professional fields, including the law enforcement and are capable of the most hidious hate crimes oen can imagine. I never paid much attention to the hate crimes in the news before. It is normally about blacks, arabs, even homos. Seems far away from my world. But a case about a Chinese boy (ABC) who was wrongly charged with rape because he had consent sex with his white girlfriend and was abused by the brotherhood to death really made me jump and caused a sleepless night.

You can be a good american citizen but you can't control what these racists could do. Think of my own boy who may one day start dating a white girl and end up like that. Even a shred of chance for this to happen is intolerable.
The only solution I have is to go back to China. There at least we are not minority.
