If you want to compare mental life, then, every one will have a different answer.

I understand you: you are unsatisfied mostly based on your mental life (which is failure to be "人上人"), but it does not mean others have the same standard as you in mental life.

Others have pointed out that you are a bookworm. Your believing that others having the same mental value is an example of you being a book worm.
