Yes, he is ABC.

Technically he is Canadian, but he has been in the US northeast for 15 yrs ever since graduation since high school.

He is culturally very American. Other than his skin color and having Chinese parents (they were from HK and Taiwan 33 yrs ago, respectively), there is nothing Chinese about him. Nor does he have any desire to become more Chinese or learn Chinese language, which was a bit annoying to my parents. As I said, he is not perfect, but he is a good guy and it is not his fault that he is not as Chinese as I want him to be, just like I am not as American as him/his friends. BAsically, I cannot force him to be something he is not. I won't succeed, and he will resent it.
