Thx. Tough question though.

In this market, a good job in the finance industry is not impossible but very hard to find. Not easy to find a normal (non-Wall St.) job, either, since industries are laying off as well.

In my experience bf who has the possibility for a long-lasting relationship is also hard to find.

- Firstly, I moved so many times for better career opportunities, for school which is not good for relationship development.

- Secondly, think I was just unlucky to be involved with people who have issues that are deal breakers (problems of my prior relationship are described in the main post)

- Thirdly, I did not really date seriously when I was in China so I cannot compare. Also I am in a very dif. age group now compared to 12 yrs ago. Back then I had too many choices and always got the wanted or unwanted attention because of the way I looked.

My current bf is the best relationship i ever have. He is not abusive and he is not a mom's boy, and I have not found any issues about him that I cannot tolerate. But he is not the ideal, either. Ideally he will be Chinese and I want my kid(s) to speak / know Chinese. With him this is just wishful thinking. He is also not able to communicate with my parents.
