Facillities in developED countries are older than
the ones in developING countries. That's a given. But you also need to look at the "software" part. To evaluate the capability of an airport, there are a lot more than just the size of the building or when it was built. For starters, the ability to organize and manage as many flights as possible at the same time, and the ability to deal with bad weathers etc.
Pick any evening, go near LaGuardia, and count the planes approaching and departing in any 5 mins span, and then do the same thing at PuDong. You will see the difference.
Again, China is improving and developing with breathtaking speed. The future is bright and it does excite us all Chinese, but to claim it's already more advanced than US in all the areas where we have newer buildings, is very premature.
