social connection is everything

In China, if you have connection, you can be a portfolio/risk manager without any working experiance or even a degree in finance. Like my friend, he used to be a IT salesman and now a portfolio manager in one of the biggest investing banks in China. Sometimes, I am very dissapointed at the HR system in China (and Canada too). Look at those so-called manager, what do they know about finance? Damn it.
