I agree with this categorization, although it may offend some people. It especially works for Wall Street.

True, it is common at Wall street that people are making over 10K in base salary, but you have to also realize that Wall street is highly competitive and not everyone is able to get into the street.

In academia, established professors make a lot of money too and receive a lot of benefits. But, it will take distinhuished young professors years to get established, right? If they are really distinguished, they will be there too.
