If one car at a time, the gate seems to work fine. 

The tricky thing is that my car was following another car. The first car went through, and the gate stayed open. By the time I was driving through, it started to close, and because it was so close to the car, there was hardly any time to respond. 

This would happen to anyone in the same situation. The question is: should I wait for the gate to close, and then open? How do I know? 

The gate opens automatically for exiting cars. 

开车的是我儿子，他受朋友A的父母BC的邀请去参加A的惊喜生日爬梯。这个地方是BC的朋友D租住的。

一直是这对父母BC在和我们联系。一开始他们要求我儿子负全责，赔对方六千块。后来说他们愿意私人赞助两千。再后来说我们付两三千也可以。

我不觉得我们是责任方，因为门没有发现这辆车，而且根据双方受损情况，我认为是门撞到了车的右前方。他们不否认第一条，但是坚称是车的前面先撞了门。他们放大了局部照片，认为粉线上面的两条竖杠是最初的碰撞点。这个刚好在车前杠的拐角处。

我觉得他们的指控没有道理。那两条竖线是擦痕，在前杠的上方，和地面基本平行，宽2.4英寸。门框宽2英寸整。难以想象这样的轻微摩擦会造成其他那样的损失。

BC给了我房产主人的联系方式。我联系了他们，他们从来没有回复。到现在，还是这对父母在要求我们直接付钱给他们。车损也是六千块。他们觉得我们应该自己负责。
