AC blow air, not cold <— fixed
first time replaced this thing called capacitor. AC is back!blowing cold.
took the time checking if drain line is clogged; checked again the air filter making sure I wasn’t stupid in placing it in wrong direction; cleaning the outside condenser fan unit.
I was researching into this thing called capacitor, claiming 90% not blowing cold due to condenser unit wasn’t on.
tried to test to confirm unit is indeed bad. multimeter Ohem testing showed some resistance btw fan and ground, but nothing btw herm(?) and ground, suggesting the capacitor is bad. I am not able to locate a tool that test capacitance, inexpensive and I can get it today.
online has the capacitor replacement for under $10, but figure ACE nearby has it though $26.
tested again the new capacitor, both fan and herm showed some resistance data change suggesting good.
replaced and put correct wires, which I took a pic and also wrote down: blue to herm, orange to fan, two yellow to ground.
power on.
thermostat set to lowest which is 65 f.
felt the cold air from bedroom vent; felt warm air from the condenser top, cold on the 1/2” copper line.
whew, I made it.
