final charging port in place, material cost about 50$, free labor of two wekends of 20 hrs? 

 

 

just did another one for son's place in So Cal.  we couldn't be happier when the juice was flowing through.  I paid the following items, a total of $50.

* 50 amp breaker added to a house with 200 amp entry /$13.98

* #6 black wire, 2 lines making ~237v/ $11.68

* #6 bare copper for ground /$5.08

* 6-50 charging plug / $9.83; and plate / $3.34

* 1 gang eletrical box / $1.98

bought a little votage tester to ensure installation was correct before actual plug in to the Tesla model3.  each hot showed ~110 v with other lead to ground, (4th hole) no neutral wire needed,
