关于租车的liability 保险问题

前两天问了一下我的保险公司，答复如下：

As long as the rental vehicle is only used as a temporary substitute for one of your insured vehicles, and it is a type of vehicle we would normally insure, the coverage you currently carry will extend to a vehicle rented in the United States (including its territories: American Samoa, Federated States of Micronesia, Puerto Rico, Guam, Midway Islands, and the U.S. Virgin Islands - as well as Canada). The coverage is subject to your deductible. If you are using the vehicle for business purposes, please contact us so we can review coverage.

看好了，保险的延伸是针对临时替换平常使用的车辆，并且是通常保险的车种。也就是说，你要是租车做商业用途，要问；租商业运输车种，如UHaul，可能不保。所以，建议大家联系自己的保险公司弄清租车保险的范围，免得出了意外，人受惊，经济受损。
