your rv is most likely a forest river berkshire floorplan 38a-340, with a cummins 340hp engine and an allison transmission (one of three models:  2300, 2350 and 2500 hs).  in allison documents for these models, i have yet found an instruction of going n before going r.  but i could be wrong as i have been wrong in many occasions in my life so far...
