based on Haynes Work Shop Manual, if you have changed your battery (or disconnected it ), some vehicles (for example, Ford) need to be calibrated as following： 

turning your ignition on putting your tran in drive with your foot flat on the brake peddle and hold for 3 minutes， and then turn ignition off， and then back on with the car in park and no peddle , do not start car to do this just ignition on.

then everything should be ok.

有的车，比如福特，当你换过电池或者断电，你需要重新设置：

1.把钥匙拧到ON，不打火，把挡挂在D，脚踩煞车，三分钟不动。

2.把车钥匙拧回，再拧到ON，此时的挡放在P，不踩刹车。

这么做了，一切不正常的就应该正常了。切记：在此期间不打火。

这类麻烦事都是为宰车主设计的。有的车需要到敌勒去换电池，否则，需要去问敌勒号码输入后才能把收音机打开。可当你去换电池后不久，有的车，挡挂不上了，你去敌勒，就说你得换什么什么零件。

你需要买一本Haynes work shop manual，专门修你车的，大约20刀之内，零件店有卖的。有问题就读一下。
