With a air compressor you need run the motor for 5 minutes to pressurize the tank before you can use it. Plus you have to uncoil and coil the long air hoses. Going to the gas station and back is at least 15 minutes. If there is people using the compressor, you get to wait in-line. Adding a few psi's to four tires by using a bike pump takes about 15 minutes. I have used all three methods. Bike pump trumps the other two in most cases.
