不怕笑话,俺最近也花2k修2k+的车
if you live the life of his or mine you will understand. or, here is the math:
1. buying new car, $5k deposit + monthly payment (say $300). Worry free for 5 years but with depreciated car value.
2. Fix the car, $2k repair charge, + 0 payment,and relatively worry free for next 3 or 4 years, less depreciation.
If you live on budget you know which way to go. Even money is not tight, I'd rather spend it else where, say get a hisense 4k TV,
or go ski...
You see the math. Yeah new car is nice but both get job done if you only use it for commute.
Also, driving a new camry or odessy can't show off anyway. why not just drive a 10 year old fixed car.
If the car is 20 year+ it's probably more a show-off than a new camry/honda can do.
