check your fuel pump relay first. hope that is the cause. if the fuel pump relay is fine, then
turn your key to on, do not crank it. if there is whirling sound at the gas tank for 5-10 seconds, then your fuel pump is fine. otherwise, you need a new pump.

never let gas tank run dry next time. you can end up to a 400-500 USD repair bill.
